Where did everyone go....
Here's what I mean -
In the
Islamic religion - we have the prophet Mohammad - and the Shia branch
of Islam comes directly from his decendants... however diluted the
lines may be... point is - this guy existed less than six hundred years
after Jesus Christ, he was one person and the lineage is there.
So where is the Christian lineage?
We
know Jesus lived - he was definitely a man (son of god, and articles of
faith put aside) who lived and died - he had family (three brothers)
and was responsible for many miracles - over 10,000 in fact including
people that were "raised" from the dead, sick people that were healed
and many other wondrous acts...
So where is the lineage - where
are the descendants of brother Lazarus, the great great grandchildren
(a hundred times removed) of the major disciples etc to give just a few
examples.
Do you know anyone who claims to be descended from
Lazarus? Would his experience (and those of others) not be something a
family would want to preserve in their history? I mean, if I was
brought back to life, don't you think my family might "mention" it in
some historical text... and somehow that story might be continued down
to the present day.
Something along the lines of - Hi nice to
meet you, did you know that one of my ancestors was actually brought
back to life and this is widely recorded in one of the major religious
texts of the world? And yes, I thought you might find that interesting.
I mean, it would be a good pickup line if nothing else.
So Prophet M - one guy - lots of survivors...
Jesus C - thousands of miracles, disciples, family members...
And NOT ONE surviving 21st century descendant?
What's your thought on this.
Credit - This is from a paper my sister is working on...
