| | You scored as Unipolar Depression.
Congraulations! You are depressed! You know just how it feels to bear
all the world's burdens, and the value of a 19-hour night's sleep. And
you really hate that circle-guy thing on your Zoloft pill packets.

The house is finally getting painted! Greens and browns for the front rooms, a much lighter almost mint for the kitchen and a smoky sky blue for the living room. Rearraning the house was a good excuse to clear out a lot of junk. Very satisfied with the Ralph Loren colors courtest of your local Home Depot. Honestly, I don't know how I put up with white walls for so long! |

Current Mood - Excited
Current Music - Art of Trance - Voice Of Earth
You figure if this is the first thing I'm going to post in my journal in MONTHS it must be pretty dumb - and it is.
I
lost my cell phone yesterday and also got a parking ticket which was
GREAT. Had a water main burst right outside my house last night and as
the wonderful City of Atlanta people started poking around this morning
we also lost power. Needless to say I felt out of touch. Power has been
restored but that's about it. I think I left my phone in one of the
schools I worked in yesterday which means I probably won't find it
again. Of course right now I can't even call to find out.
So
what's a man to do when the ability to even make a cup of coffee is
beyong him? I think I'm going to head to Home Depot and pick up some
paint. After six months of thinking on this and weighing lighter vs
dark and bright here is the general color breakdown with the
corresponding codes and sections of the house. It's going to be Ralph
Loren colors with the satin finish since it's easier to clean vs the
traditional matte.
Dinging Room (front) - Crab Apple (NA02)
Kitchen (middle) - Blue Frost (SS22)
Living Room (back) - Walnut (NA07)
I guess I'll be laboring on labor day. |

A buddy who was working with me just got let go or should I say he was
NOT transfered to the new group becuase apparently he was out of
town/too much. That's interesting because when I talked to him he had
been given leave for this family needs etc.... It's hard to make a call
on it but at some point we would like to continue working with him.
It's also impossible to understand the relationship between the school
system and the company I am contracting with - for somethings there is
constant communication and oversight and for some there is none... We
are all adults so I'm not saying we need supervision/ or that we have
too much but there seem to be days when things are.... um....confused
and people seem to be running around. |

Chris Coleman was spinning at a house party which disintegrated after a
fight broke out - you know how it is - when kids get drunk and start
accusing others of stealing their beer - so we left and ended up
at Michael Scott's house. A much cooler location with several of Atl's
progressive house and trance DJ's doing a stint at the tables. Several
people showed up after Club 1150 closed and myself and Ed Sherrouse
just hung out till we could hear the birds chirping outside.
Definately my most fun night of the month. I really need to make it out
for some more of Chris' events especially the Men With Records weeklies
in Midtown.

Iv'e been doing contract work for the APS. Mostly software integration
and rollouts. It's been fun but it's definately early days. Still, I'm
getting to see parts of town I would have otherwise not gone to and
meeting new people is always great.
Much fun!

Remember this guy - the original Abdullah sticking forks into his
oppenents while throwing them around in the ring? Well, Abdullah is now
an Atlanta staple having opened a BBQ ribs and Chinese food place in
West Atlanta just outside the Perimeter.

I ate lunch there last week while working at a local school and let me
tell you - five bucks will get you a lot of food even today:)
Creative Loafing had a cool article about this place (see below) |

Alan and Tiffany had a great party down on the south side. I do
love/hate driving down Cleveland Ave but it's worth it just for the
chicken alley and sirens. Just kidding - it's a fun part of town and I
still wish I'd bought something down there when I had a chance.
This month we also celebrated Megan and Ryan's engagement as well as Christi and Tiffany's birthdays.
Congrats to all
