I guess I'm still tired from the w.end - Mary Alice was in town and we
met people for drinks on Friday and attended a wedding on Saturday. It
was outdoors, very much in the Jewish tradition and long by even my
Catholic standards... the DJ whom I will not name (other than to day
that he will NOT be playing at any party I might even be remotely
connected with) did something that happens so rarely - the music was so
out of call, that I actually spent the better part of two hours trying
to stay away from it... the worse it got, the further you found me from
the drinks and dancing so to speak... at one point I actually vacated
the premises for about twenty minutes and stood under a tree just to
clear my head. Not to mention that all the harsh cuss filled gangsta
rap really went down well with the four year olds running around with
their parents chasing them.
Hmm...Sunday
was a blur... I remember falling asleep and waking up a few times but
not being able to decide what I wanted for breakfast... It was
wonderful... Lots of sleep and short phone conversatoins...Midnight
found me doing dishes and trying to iron shirts.
I hate to admit
it but I've been glued to the tele the last two nights watching two
long and very frustrating back to back overtime games in the present
Braves Vs Astros matchup. Last night the Braves lost but today they
won... and I've been feeling the excitement of it all in that "pass me
another beer" sort of way. Dinner consisted of rice, green beans and
some bizare concoction that was once bratwurst... followed by a bowl of
plain jane yoghurt.
