As reported via AP, the dean of an Ithica NY college is encouraging a content with a $5000 reward for the best short film created by a mobile camera phone. The idea came while attending a conference on the future of mobile content creation and delivery. |

SEATTLE, Wash December 27, 2005 Whether it's downloading a game or ringtone, or browsing news and information, M:Metrics, the mobile market authority, found that Sanyo SCP-8200 and Motorola RAZR owners are out-consuming subscribers of all other devices. The portion of owners of these devices that are used to access mobile applications or downloaded mobile content is more than double that of the market overall. |

The University of Dayton has started a "mobile blog" allowing prospective college students to find out more abou the school and interect with students entirely through handheld devices. Plans to incorporate podcasting and mobile video are also in the works. UrlWire reports this as being a growing tend in campus admission offices as mobile devices continue to spread among teens and internet savvy users.

Recent research from CTIA predicts SMS growth from 900 billion in 2005 to over 1.5 trillion by 2008. Not only will this force price cuts but companies who enable more related services especially in the areas of advertising, entertainment and business communication stand to benefit most. SMS as alerting tools for potential credit fraud and mobile blogging services for personal/dating sites are just some areas expected to experience heavy growth. |

Although the United states remains far behind Europe in terms of overall SMS usage, the networks here are already vulnerable to the equivalent of SMS "flooding" which could overwhelm networks, causing service disruptions - a vulnerability that would especially be felt by mobile medical services among others. |

The Shozu service is compatible with Flickr, Webshots and Text America - all powerhouses in the moblogging market. It's an aplication that can be installed on your phone (camera phone of course) and captured images are automatically uploaded to the corresponding account!
As several reviews have commented - It's doesn't get much easier than that.
