And yet some if not most of us have expressed frustration at swerving drivers captivated more by their mobile than the road ahead. Indian technology and news portal Rediff.com has launched a mobile version of its popular site given the growing importance of the blog and mobile phone as communication and expression tools. The Hindu reports on the evolution of this tool and some of its hoped uses including realtime reporting and commentary on events, personal blogs and interaction on current stories as well as a a personalized web presence for this community's 30 million plus subscriber base. |

While MSN India is beta-testing its mobile blogging tool for MSN Spaces, Rediff.com has launched ‘MoBlog’, on its recently revamped blogging site Rediffiland.com. The best part of moblog is that you do not really need an Internet connection to log onto your blogsite as blogging through SMS is also possible. |

The Washington Post featured an article on the "Kosher" phone - a no no frills mobile device being marketed in Israel by local provider Mirs for Orthodox Jewish and other conservative groups. It allows you to make phone calls and not much else. It has the blessings of several Rabbinical groups and a bright future if marketed correctly. What's more - devices and services like this are growing. |
