I stumbled upon a new SMS/TEXT related site today - and found this link to a Reuters article claiming "too much texting is leading to people with hurt digits - as in fingers not numbers. I wonder if this is the start of the mobile version of the Carpel Tunnel Syndrome. |

The Daily Express in Malaysia reported a man stabbed his wife in anger largely due to suspicion of an affair resulting from her "overzealous" SMS usage with largely unknown people. He was arrested and her condition is reported as being stable. |

The handheld device market continued its relentless downsizing in 2005, IDC reported Thursday, while one major investor in market leader Palm Inc. urged the company to consider putting itself on the block. The market research firm said that shipments decreased 18.2 percent from the like quarter in the previous year, while shipments for the full year dropped 16.7 percent to 7.5 million units. |

.MOBI was created as a TLD to allow for easier access to mobile content. Only 12%-14% of people have accessed the web via a mobile device according to Technewsworld.com so why is there so much oppostion to it? Why do so many people see it as redundant or even a step backwords? |

Camera tossing is throwing your digital or camera phone into the air while taking a digital photograph - it seems to be a growing fad as and certianly a favorite with photo bloggers. According to the latest research from the wireless network strategies service of Boston-based Strategy Analytics, the mobile industry is on course for 2.5 billion subscribers by the end of 2006, and 3.5 billion by the end of 2010. In this report, called, "Worldwide Cellular User Forecasts, 2005-2010," the firm also predicts the industry will generate US$800 billion in service revenues by the end of the decade. |
