Not strictly mobile blogging I saw this list of cool things to do with your handheld on the Symbianone website. After reading through every item on the list and clicking through to some of the featured software I decided to add this for fun. Check out the list below.

Rajesh Jain in his  Weblog on Emerging Technologies, Enterprises and Markets - Emergic.org talks about the growth of mobile industry in India. Pertinent information on providers, growth rates and costs of various services are highlighted. I for one was interested to see how messaging charges vary so greatly from region to region.

The market research firm said that shipments decreased 18.2 percent from the like quarter in the previous year, while shipments for the full year dropped 16.7 percent to 7.5 million units.

Chinese cellphone users sent 304.6 billion short messages last year, a 300-fold increase over the level in 2000, Xinhua news agency said on Thursday, citing the Ministry of Information Industry.

According to the latest research from the wireless network strategies service of Boston-based Strategy Analytics, the mobile industry is on course for 2.5 billion subscribers by the end of 2006, and 3.5 billion by the end of 2010. In this report, called, "Worldwide Cellular User Forecasts, 2005-2010," the firm also predicts the industry will generate US$800 billion in service revenues by the end of the decade.

m-trends discuss the growth of 3G handsets in Spain and it's subsequent affect on mobile and photo blogging. Citing new figures from AETIC a 30% penetration of 3G enabled handsets is predicted by 2008.
