Pixie Hunt is a mobile location based game from Microsoft making a debut at next weeks Where 2.0 conference . Various teams armed with a Cingular phone, a GPS puck and a Flickr account will compete. As the term "scavenger hunt" imples, the goal is to photograph certain tasks such as " a man in a scarf" and upload the pictures to Flickr along with the software's geo tagging functionality. The team with the hightest score wins, explains the O'Reilly Radar. |

Motorola Q vs the Palm Treo 700p. It's inevitable these devices be matched, both smartphones handling e-mail and attachments, high speed web access and enhanced camera and video functionality. Although the Q is better priced (around $200 with a service contract) the Treo seems to lead based on user interface, higher multimedia functions and overall satisfaction. Yes, it's cute but does that make it the best? |

Krusells top ten selling phones and pda's for April are little changed from March. The Qtek 9100 I-mate tops Palms Treo 650 for this months honors, a swap from last month. Positions three to six are still held by QTek with HP and Blackberry bringing up the rear. The Motorola RaZr V3/V3i/V3c, Sony Ericson D750/W800i and Motorola SLVR continue to lead in phones with Nokia's at the bottom. Let's see how the upcoming Sony K800i upsets this order. |

Videos are uploaded via a web interface, are converted into Flash for easy viewing and can be easily embedded into MySpace Google and Yahoo video sites or even simple HTML pages. Hot on the heels of the N91, Nokia and ICM shared a recent cameraphone usage study. Not surprisingly, people want converged devices and services interfacing directly via cellphones. Nokia even predicts cameraphones could replace handheld cameras and mp3 players in a few years. Almost one in every two or 44% of people surveyed used cameraphones as their primary imaging device with 36% browsing via mobiles at least once a month. |
