According to the How to blog for fun and profit blog , CubeBlog is different from the pack since their goal was to always integrate creation of "rich media content" to enhance the user experience, something that traditional MMS and texting sites tend to ignore. CubeBlog also planned to launch  a Cube iTv television channel featuring popular blogs and users. They also feature the ability to update ones content via phone and internet as backup.

So how have they done since inception?  According to a Phillipines based paper - they reached a 1000 users within a week of launch and are predicting a turn to  20 million pesos revenue by end of 2005 long having surpassed the 100000 user mark. In doing so, they are leading the pack of those wanting to "fuse" interactive services with the mobile internet.

A quick visit to the CubeBlog site revealed a well formatted site, showing photo and recent blog updates on the main page with the expected search and  interactive fuctionality one exptects today from a social networking site. Their FAQ was fairly comprehensive covering the basics from creating content to deleting one's account and a downloadable user guide was also available. A search on Google for CubeBlog showed a list of blogs labelled "username: Cubeblog | Home" and the blog pages themselves were also organized by community. In terms of display and format - they closely match what we would expect from a traditional blog page. Unlike most sites today we did not find an RSS option.

What we found great was how each users blog was divided into photo, text and mobile sections allowing information to be easily organzied and accessed by upload method and the pages themselves were highly personalized and templated. It's good to see this service growing up - we wish them well.
