Writing the previous article on Zoto.com I decided to see what Flickr was up to. Not surprising the present leader in photo sharing and photo blogging hasn't been still. Carlo Longino @ Mobhappy writes about why Flickr still remains a favorite.
It does what it states - it allows you to create a photoblog via a myriad of services.
It's actively seeking media deals with services such as Goldfraff and expanding into video blogging and even streaming.
It recognizes the importance of mobile and handset accessibility and is offering services specifically targeted to this market as high margin premium features.
It is responsive to feedback - user requested features and company feedback are tracked and analysed.
I think we wholeheartedly agree with Carlo!
Flickr seems to realize that photoblogging is becoming mainstream. They have identified the trends, made allocations for easier mobile based access and continue to push user experience as the basis for further expansion and enhancement of their services. Their photoblogging service Shozu is a prime example of a company in touch with its user base. We love Shozu so much we added the feed on our site. Catch the latest Shozu updates here. After all, what's the point - it it's not fun. Well done Flickr!
