Umundo has lauunched a new video distribution service for sharing video created by any mobile device. Videos are uploaded via a web interface, are converted into Flash for easy viewing and can be easily embedded into MySpace Google and Yahoo video sites or even simple HTML pages. Based on RSS, Umundo's content supports tagging format conversation and bittorrent protocols for maximum sharing and availability.

The service is free to use and requires sending an MMS to a specified account. MobileTech reports "In future releases of Umundo there will be new services which include international access, creation of groups and communities, as well as distribution of premium content. "There are millions of mobile users in the world equipped with camera phones," said Prashant Parekh, founder and CEO of the company. "With Umundo service, we enable mobile consumers to share their creativity instantaneously around the world, anytime anywhere" reports IABSmartBriefs. Easy instructions for sharing and viewing clips are provided. Presently the service is available to TMobile, Cingular and Verizon customers in North America but anyone can send an e-mail/MMS to the site and still participate - just be sure you have a generous data plan.
