With customised XML or other live feed based data and services becoming a neccessity for mobile content providers we took a closer look at the Beatwave Mobile Server by Beatware - Solutions For A Mobile World.
Beatware Mobile Server is the real time, content generation counterpart to Beatware Mobile Designer. When it comes to creating rich, interactive content that incorporates skins and live data, Beatware Mobile Server is light years ahead of the competition. It will literally change the way you conduct your business online.
Beatware Mobile Server simplifies the workflow typically associated with generating content containing live data by eliminating the need for coding. Using Beatware Mobile Server, Flash or SVG content is generated by adding skins and injecting live XML data into existing Beatware Mobile Designer graphics files, then post processing the resulting content with profile information specific to the user's viewing device.
For example, say a cell phone user navigates to a weather site to view local weather conditions. With Beatware Mobile Server on the server machine, the appropriate Beatware Mobile Designer file is loaded and the local XML weather data is injected into this file to produce a new and unique design. Then, the design is processed for optimal display on the destination device. In the case of a cell phone, device specifics such as the screen size and bit depth are factored in as part of the final rendering before the content is transmitted to the destination cell phone.
What makes Beatware Mobile Server truly revolutionary though is the fact that absolutely no coding is required. All of the XML data mappings are stored in the original Beatware Mobile Designer files. Beatware Mobile Server simply interprets these data mappings, folds in the appropriate skin and XML data, adjusts the output to fit the device specs of the viewer and ships out the content, all without coding or developer involvement.
