Vagablog is a simple tool for uploading posts to a weblog. There’s a bunch of stuff it could do, like downloading existing posts to allow editing, supporting other posts APIs, uploading images, and spell check says developed Mike Rowehl on thisismobility.com.
EricGrumbles.net had a good review of this tool and some excepts are below.
Strengths- Easy to configure, as I showed in this HowTo
- Quite easy to use
- Supports a wide variety of blog types
Weaknesses- No support for categories
- Title is hard to create
- Doesn't handle line breaks correctly in MovableType, users will have to enter html to display their post correctly
- The developer, who is actively blogging, has yet to respond to my email telling him I liked the software and had written a review of it. This doesn't bode well for developer responsiveness, a must have for open source software.
- Cannot save drafts. If you have to close Vagablog for some reason, your post is lost.
- No support for file uploads
